TANGERINE CORAL DRESS OPTIONS FOR ALL FIGURES

This Nicole Miller striped dress in coral and fuchsia incorporates three hot trends in fashion for spring/summer 2012.  Colors, stripes, and ruching.  The ruching in the center of the dress hides figure flaws and makes hips and tummy area appear smaller.  Nicole Miller, $245.

For a similar dress in the same color scheme, try this French Connection dress.  This dress is more casual in the style, but is perfect for a BBQ, go boating, or to a pool party.  You can dress it up with jewelry, a belt, and heels, or try jeweled flat sandals.  French Connection, $68.

One of my favorite dresses for the season by Milly.  Great neckline and sleeve detail.  The tied waist belt creates interest but sits higher to not emphasize the tummy.  Great for the 30-70 crowd for work or a night on the town.  Try with bold turquoise or blue earrings and cuff bracelet.  Looks great with metallic heels or sandals.  Milly, $370.

BCBGMAXAZRIA Drape Sash Ruching Dress.  The sash and ruching flatter your hips and tummy area and hide figure flaws.  Make sure it is loose enough not to cling to the tummy.  $148.

Tinley Road One Shoulder Maxi Dress.  Play this up with a long necklace in turquoise or bright blue.  $43.99.

Gianna Bini Lace Back with Gold Zipper Dress, $128.

Kasper Two Piece Suit.  Sleeveless dress option with with waistline sitting underneath the chest.  Great for ladies figures who have a little tummy or hips.  Wear just the jacket with another outfit (navy, white, blue, etc.) and the dress by itself with jewelry/heels.  $181.99 at Macy's.

Tahari by ASL Printed Wrap Dress, $124.

A swimwear cover up in a printed tangerine color is a great option for beach/pool time.  Vix Swimwear Mali Bliss Dress, $124.

Adrianna Papell Plus Size Lace Dress, $140. (14W-24W)

LADIES WORK LOOKS FOR SPRING

As the weather gets warmer, here are a few styling tips to make your look transition from winter to spring for work.  These tips can be worn in all age groups and body types.

1.  Layer your look.  Wear a woven pant with a fun patterned camisole and layer with a cardigan over top and belt the cardigan under your ribs.  As the day heats up take off the cardigan and lower the belt to your waist, or shed the belt.

Add a white button down shirt or navy blue to this look.  Tory Burch Snakeskin Leather Belt, $195

2.  Add color.  Try a bright colored pencil skirt in green or yellow.  For a more corporate look, wear with white button blouse.  Add a cropped blazer in black, navy, or khaki.  Add strappy leather high heels to show your style.  For more creative fields, try a patterned blouse with the bright colored skirt.

3.  Cropped Pants.  Ankle length pants and calf length pants are great options for the work place.  Try a straight leg look versus baggy to be office appropriate.  Patterns can be worn, such as white on white, or sand and creme pattern, or try a bold hue with neutrals.  The color top you wear and the fit of the top determines how corporate your look will be.  Wild prints and colored pants with bold top are great for creative fields versus pairing neutrals and corporate high heels or sandals for straight lace work environments.

4.  Shirt Dress or Wrap Dress.  Try a bold colored print.  Navy, purples, reds, and deep pinks can still be very corporate looking.  Pair with gold jewelry or silver to remain more neutral.  Add a bold colored necklace to show some creative flair.  The length and flow of the hem determines how "serious" your dress is.  A flowy hem is seen as more flirty and fluid.  Great for creative fields but not for corporate.

5.  Sheath Dress.  Great way to wear a brighter color for spring.  Blue and pink sheath dresses are everywhere.  Add colored chunky jewelry, bright work bag/clutch, and heels for more creative types.  For corporate, add a neutral blazer or neutral accessories such as black or navy.
