PENCIL SKIRTS WITH PIZZAZZ!

Pencil skirts are a great option for work and a night on the town.  They can be dressed up or down and fit most body types.  The key is making sure the skirt hangs straight down versus hugging your bottom or your hips/tummy.  Fit is key.  Black and white are basic options to have in your closet.  But add some fun this season with pencil skirts.

This Tiger Print Pencil Skirt looks great with a flowy blouse belted at the waist with a statement belt (larger size 2-3 inches wide).  Or pair with a fitted top and a cropped blazer.

This python skirt looks crisp and fresh with a white button down shirt.  Keep the jewelry basic in the metallic family and let the skirt be the statement.

Michael Kors Python Pencil Skirt, $89.50 (sz 2-10)

Sequin skirts are great for a night on the town in summer or winter.  Dress this up with a black shirt or add a silver and black top with embellishment.  Work appropriate?  Not so much.  Sequins should stay out of the office unless you are in a creative field.

Banana Republic Silver Sequin Skirt, $98 (sz. 00-16)
