PEPLUM

Peplum is a "short overskirt usually attached to a fitted top, skirt, or dress".  This flap of fabric creates interest and a gathering point for your eye.  Peplum can either be the "center stage" of your outfit or an enhancement in which you can add accessories to jazz it up.  That depends on if the outfit is one color, two pieces, or how big and detailed the peplum is.
