TRENDY STYLES IN MEN'S BOOTS

I was asked recently "What is in style for men's boots?" Divine Style DC is here to answer all your fashion questions. Three main types of boots exist for men that are on trend now. Dress Boots, which can be worn to the office and paired with your suit; Western Boots or Cowboy Boots, which have made a huge comeback in the last few years and depending on where you live can go from denim to suits; and Trendy Boots, which showcase your style and go from denim to cool pants to a trendy night on the town look. Buckles and straps are seen on designer boots from Balmain to Florsheim. Straps, buckles add an edge to the style of the boot and generally are for more fun footwear vs. the office, of course depending on what you do! The edgiest styles combine laces, straps, and buckles together often with mixed textures.

FRISKY AND FABULOUS IN FEATHERS

Feathers are an eye-catching trendy embellishment that adds flare to your look. The feather trend has been in style for a few years and continues to show on runways and on the celebrities. While this is fashion forward, you can add subtle touches in earrings, belts, and heels. Feathers at the hemline of a skirt are also a discrete way to rock this trend. Go bolder in this look with feather skirts, tops, or dresses/gowns. Feathers can add bulk to your look so be sure that the garment is steamed. The amount of feathers on the bodice of the dress or skirt and how they are sewn on determines how big or robust the item looks on you. A fitted blouse or top works well with a fuller feathered skirt. I love the idea of mixing feathers with another bold item, such as a sequin printed jacket, to create visual interest.
