SIZZLING LOOKS TO TRANSITION TO FALL

Though the summer weather is still here and fall officially starting on September 22nd, now's the time to shift your looks from summer sexy to fabulous fall.  Pair your summer staples, such as cargo shorts for men, or summer sundresses for women, with fall accessories to transition your look.  Ladies pair your skirts with tops in fall's colors, such as burgundy, oxblood, navy, or deep green.  Mix in leather/lace accents.  Change your footwear to shoe booties or fall sandals in suede, metallic hues, or bold fall colors.  Gentlemen, fall is all about texture, color, leather and prints.  Layer your look as the weather changes with key pieces.  Transition from the bright spring/summer belt, shoes, and socks to deep hues, suede, and animal skins.

CUFFED DENIM....PERFECT FOR NOW INTO FALL!

Cuffed denim is a hot look for any age and body.  From boyfriend jeans and casual looks, to dressed up skinnies and heels, this look is here to stay.   What you pair with your denim can dress up or down your look and make you look trendy and fashion-forward.  The length of your denim and wear you cuff your jeans also sets a part your look.  Numerous rolled cuffs is a more dated look, so style your cuffed denim by just rolling up one cuff. 

Cuffed Jeans DO's:

- Do make it look like you did it on purpose.  Meaning, avoid the I-just-didn't-have-time-to-tailor-my-jeans-so-I'm-rolling-them look.

- Do wear fabulous shoes or sandals.  Your shoes become more of a highlight with cuffed jeans, so make sure they are cool (or at the very least clean!)

- Roll skinny, fitted, boyfriend jeans.

MUCH ADO ABOUT BRAS & BRA STRAPS...TO SHOW OR NOT?

Whether to show your bra and bra straps is an age old question.  Stylists and fashionistas vary their opinions on this.  Carrie Bradshaw truly made a bra the statement piece in a lot of her wardrobe ensembles on Sex and the City.  The key is if you are going to show your bra or bra straps, make a statement with it.  It does not look chic to be wearing a colored tank top and have a skin tone bra strap sticking out, nor does a black top with a black bra strap out look great.  Go bold with it and don't do it at all.
