ELECTRIC BRIGHT COLORS

A bright colored dress, top, necklace, or shoe brings color to your face and makes you appear current and trendy.  Try adding an electric bright piece to your current winter wardrobe with black, gray, camel color, or navy.  These are great transition pieces as we move to spring as well.

ROCKING RED LOOKS FOR VALENTINE'S DAY

Red is a great color to wear all year long but who doesn't want to look special for their someone special on Valentine's Day?  Whether you are going to a red party, or any other Valentine's Day event, here's how to rock the red.

Try a strapless red dress by Amanda Uprichard.  The ruffle detail and belted waist are great accents.  Change the belt to create even more interest.  $195.

BLAZING THROUGH TOWN IN A BLAZER

A blazer is a great transition piece.  It can be worn for work, out shopping, out to brunch or lunch on the weekends, to the museums, or over a dress at night.  This is a great versatile piece for everyone.

Blazers come in many styles.  Cropped blazers, embellished blazers, metallic blazers, tuxedo and colored blazers are a few of the options.  See what suits your personality and events you attend.  A styling tip would be to go from wearing it in the office to out at night, roll the cuff leaves up on both sides at least 3 times and push the sleeve so it sits in your arm bend.  Add a bangle bracelet.  Voila you are ready for some post-work fun.

Rockin' Bottoms for Men

There are a few men's pants types that I will blog about today and how to wear each style.

Styles:


Cargo-This style is great for a casual look.  This can be dressed up or down depending on what you wear with it.  The fit of the leg is important depending on how dressed up or casual you want to be.  A slimmer fit generally is more dressy versus a baggier fit which is more casual.

Linen-is a great option for spring and summer.  There are lighter weights and heavier weights to linen fabric.  The waistband also determines how dressy or casual it is.  A tie-string waistband is more casual.

Corduroy-Goes from casual to chic, night on the town.  Great versatile pair of pants.  Fit of the leg is important.  Slimmer fit looks more trendy and updated.

Suit Pants (Night on the Town)-Fit is extremely important along with fabric.  Straight leg and slim fit are best to appear more current and dressier.  Style of fabric and texture of the fabric dictate quality.  More expensive pants generally have a richer feeling fabric. A tuxedo pant does not have to be worn just with tuxedo's.  This looks great with a dress shirt or a suit jacket.
